Kazakhstan is the place where I was born, as a person and as an artist. A land of endless blue sky and the boundless steppes of Eurasia, the epic mountain of Khan Tengri and magnificent Caspian sea, of ancient nomadic culture and it’s spiritual roots of Tengrism and folk shamanism….this organic synthesis forms the distinctive core spirit and unique charm of rich Kazakh culture that has shaped my creative expression.

And what could be a better technique than art as ‘graphics on silk'… to narrate from a fresh perspective the stories, myths and legends of The Great Silk Road, whilst weaving the history, culture and traditional motives of Kazakh folklore into a contemporary interpretation.
